Background
Corinne N. Casey, O.D., F.A.A.O. is an Instructor of Ophthalmology at Wilmer Eye Institute, providing comprehensive eye care and glaucoma management in Odenton, Columbia, and Baltimore.
Dr. Casey graduated salutatorian from the New England College of Optometry before completing an optometric residency in ocular disease at the Baltimore VA Medical Center in 2012. Prior to joining Johns Hopkins, she gained additional experience managing medical and post-surgical glaucoma as a consultative optometrist in private practice. She also provided inpatient and emergency department ophtalmology consultations for Mercy Medical Center.
Dr. Casey earned Fellowship in the American Academy of Optometry in 2017, and in 2019 her public health advocacy efforts helped expand eye care services in Maryland. As an educator, she teaches student clinicians and community optometrists how to critically analyze testing used in glaucoma evaluation. Dr Casey also serves as an assistant coordinator for Wilmer's optometry residency program, introduced in 2023.
