Dr. Moore’s research is focused on use of preclinical models to determine the effects of cannabinoids, including delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) and cannabidiol (CBD), with a focus on sex and route of administration (e.g. vaporized, oral, intraperitoneal injection). Current projects are evaluating the rewarding and reinforcing efficacy of THC vapor using conditioned place preference and e-vape self-administration techniques. Further, she is investigating the neurobehavioral effects of THC, CBD, and other minor cannabinoids using tests of anxiety-like behavior and operant tasks of motivation and attention. more
