Background

Dr. Bruce Klein is an associate professor of pediatrics at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. His areas of clinical expertise include pediatric emergency medicine. 

Dr. Klein serves as the director of the Pediatric Transport Service at the Johns Hopkins Children’s Center.

After graduating from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine in 1979, Dr. Klein completed a pediatrics residency at Rainbow Babies and Children’s Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio. Before coming to Johns Hopkins in September 2011, he was a longstanding member of the Division of Emergency Medicine at Children’s National Medical Center in Washington, D.C. While at Children’s, he served as the medical director of the Pediatric Transport Service and later as the inaugural chief of the Division of Transport Medicine.

Dr. Klein’s research interests include pediatric emergency medicine and pediatric transport medicine.
