Background
Dr. Brent Petty is a Professor of Medicine at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. He holds a secondary appointment in Pharmacology and Molecular Sciences. Dr. Petty’s areas of expertise include clinical pharmacology and general internal medicine.
He received his M.D. from the University of Utah.
Dr. Petty’s research interests include quality improvement, antimicrobial chemotherapy, hospital-based medical practices, and internal medicine with ophthalmologic clinical trials.
At Johns Hopkins, Dr. Petty serves as chair of the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee, the Clinical Quality Improvement Committee, the Continuity of Care Subcommittee. He co-chairs the Utilization Review Committee and the Order Set Review Committee. He is a member of the Society of General Internal Medicine.
