Background
April Pruski, M.D., is a stroke and brain injury rehabilitation specialist serving patients in the Baltimore area. Dr. Pruski specializes in neurologic rehabilitation of patients who have suffered a traumatic brain injury or stroke. Her expertise spans from inpatient rehabilitation of acute stroke patients to outpatient spasticity management, noninvasive brain stimulation and other treatments that aid in recovery of neurologic functions.
Dr. Pruski trained at New York University Langone Rusk Rehabilitation for her residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation. She also completed the Acupuncture Integrative Medicine Program for Physicians at the Tri-State College of Acupuncture in New York.
Outside her medical practice, Dr. Pruski has been involved in several research studies, has taught in a masters-level program and took part in numerous volunteer opportunities, including serving as a Special Olympics physician.
