Background
Dr. Alison Moliterno is an associate professor of medicine at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. Her areas of clinical expertise include hematologic disorders such as anemias, hemochromatosis, hypercoagulable states, iron deficiency, myeloproliferative disorders and thrombocytopenias.
Dr. Moliterno completed her internal medicine training at Johns Hopkins Bayview and pursued her hematology clinical and research fellowships at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and The Johns Hopkins Hospital.
In 1998 she was awarded a prestigious Doris Duke Clinical Scientist Award and joined the Johns Hopkins faculty, and since then has directed numerous basic and translational projects in blood diseases. Dr. Moliterno maintains an active clinical and hospital consultation practice focused on the diagnosis and management of blood disorders.
Dr. Moliterno received her medical degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo.
