Background
Alice Hughes, M.D., is an orthopaedic surgeon with expertise in orthopaedic trauma. She specializes in the treatment of patients with fractures of their arms, legs, hips and pelvis. Dr. Hughes also provides post-traumatic fracture care ranging from standard follow-up to treatment of fracture complications such as malunion or nonunion. She is passionate about helping patients with trauma regain function and confidence as they return to their lives after injury.
Dr. Hughes obtained her medical degree at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia. She completed orthopaedic surgery residency training at the George Washington University in Washington, D.C., followed by an orthopaedic traumatology fellowship at the Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh.
