Background
Dr. Albert Cytryn is an eyelid and facial plastic surgeon affiliated with Sibley Memorial Hospital, Suburban Hospital, MedStar Washington Hospital Center and Inova Fairfax Hospital, as well as MedStar Georgetown University Hospital, where he serves as an assistant clinical professor for the School of Medicine and George Washington University Hospital, where he also serves as an assistant clinical professor for the School of Medicine. He practices out of Ophthalmic Plastic and Orbital Consultants, located in Bethesda, Maryland and Fairfax, Virginia.
Dr. Cytryn has an expertise in blepharoplasty, brow lift, mid-face lift, laser resurfacing, restylane injections and botox injections.
Dr. Cytryn earned his medical degree from George Washington University School of Medicine. He completed a residency in ophthalmology at Krieger Eye Institute, followed by a fellowship in eyelid and facial plastic surgery at the National Institutes of Health and the Illinois Eye and Ear Infirmary. Dr. Cytryn previously worked at the Center for Eyelid and Facial Plastic Surgery and was the director of the oculoplastic program at Suburban Hospital, as well as a preceptor for plastic surgery training at the Krieger Eye Institute.
Dr. Cytryn is a member of the American Academy of Facial Plastic Surgery and a fellow of the American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, as well as the American Academy of Ophthalmology. He previously served as the president of the Washington Metropolitan Eye Society.
Dr. Cytryn has authored numerous book chapters and papers. He has lectured on all aspects of facial plastic surgery, both regionally and internationally, and has been invited to train doctors internationally in places like Madurai, India; Katmandu; Nepal; and Tel Aviv, Israel.
