Eliana Perrin is a nationally-recognized leader in patient-oriented primary care, childhood obesity, and health disparities research. Dr. Perrin has developed, tested, and disseminated many tools to help pediatricians prevent and treat obesity. Her ground-breaking work has a broad impact on an epidemic that affects one in three children in the United States.
Dr. Perrin joined Johns Hopkins University as a Bloomberg Distinguished Professor of Primary Care in 2021 from Duke University. Through her appointment in the Johns Hopkins Schools of Nursing Medicine, and School of Public Health, her focus is elevating primary care at Johns Hopkins and ensuring the complexity and importance of primary care are at the center of Johns Hopkins’ mission and work through innovation, sophistication, collaboration, and ambition.
