Job Opening: Medical Director, Inpatient Rehabilitation Service Line

The Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine is seeking a full-time, board-certified physiatrist to direct our inpatient rehabilitation service line.

The Medical Director of the PM&R inpatient rehabilitation service line will oversee activities of our inpatient rehabilitation units located in The Johns Hopkins Hospital (JHH) and Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center (JHBMC). The units are CARF certified for general rehabilitation and stroke. Totaling 51 beds, they receive a broad spectrum of patients from medical complex to stroke and vent rehabilitation.

The Director will also be responsible for overseeing and directing all rehabilitation activities at the Bayview campus. These include the inpatient service, as well as consultations in the acute hospital. Finally, the Director will represent the Department of PM&R and will join in the medical board of JHBMC.

Successful candidates will have previous experience managing or directing inpatient rehabilitation. Leadership experience in an academic setting is highly desirable.
