Please Welcome Our New Faculty Members, Drs. Netz Arroyo and Jack Wei!
We are pleased to announce that two new assistant professors, Drs. Netz Arroyo and Huijun Wei have joined our Department. Dr. Arroyo has an innovative program centered on the development of DNA aptamer-based electrochemical detection of metabolites and drugs in living animals. Learn more about Dr. Arroyo’s work at:  Dr. Wei is an Investigator in the Drug Discovery Division of the Lieber Institute and focuses on investigating brain specific methyltransferases and inositol hexakisphosphate kinase as new targets to treat schizophrenia. Community Science Day

Each year our faculty represent our department on Community Science Day, which is usually held in the winter.  Students in the 5th and 6th grades from the East Baltimore Community visit each station to participate in science projects organized by the laboratories in our department.  Please click here to view pictures from each faculty member's science station.
