The Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery has a robust Mentorship Program for faculty and trainees. Faculty and trainees (residents and fellows) are paired with one or more mentors who provide guidance related to professional and career development at Johns Hopkins and in the field of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery. Common topics of discussion during mentor-mentee meetings include 1- year and 5-year goals, clinical practice building, academic niche, academic promotion, gaining national and international recognition, and sponsorship.
