DC Region providers Our clinical care team.
Locations | Our Experts | News and Media

The Johns Hopkins orthopaedic and spine surgery practice in the national capital region includes locations in Bethesda, MD and Washington, DC. We provide patients with the best care for musculoskeletal and spinal conditions. Our physicians pride themselves on maximizing nonsurgical treatments before considering or suggesting surgical options.

We work closely with physical therapists, rehabilitation physicians and interventional pain management specialists to ensure that our patients have the best chance at recovering from a spinal or other musculoskeletal condition before surgery is considered.

We also frequently refer patients to neurologists, physiatrists, rheumatologists and other specialists to gain their perspective and provide patients with a multidisciplinary approach to musculoskeletal conditions.

For patients who have exhausted all other options and are found to be candidates for surgical intervention, our physicians use the latest technologies and techniques to provide the best surgical care possible. We use minimally invasive and image-guided techniques to avoid collateral tissue damage, improve recovery times and avoid complications while maintaining the effectiveness of the tried and true surgical techniques that have been developed over the years.
