About Operations Integration

JHHS Operations Integration is the internal consultancy group helping Johns Hopkins identify, capture, and achieve operational and strategic improvement opportunities. The department advances organizational performance by utilizing a systems approach to analyzing processes, building relationships and facilitating change. JHHS Operations Integration staff lead or facilitate organizational efforts for business process improvement, change management, systems redesign and integration, and solutions development. The department's scope is clinical, administrative, financial, and logistical in nature with operational and strategic projects that encompass outpatient and inpatient operations.

The department is currently working on multiple initiatives including: Quality in patient care, safety and efficiency in the care delivery model, revenue capture, patient flow and volume, benchmarking, service excellence, emergency preparedness and response. Department staff works closely with administrators, physicians, and nurses to develop and implement strategies and solutions for our myriad of projects, all of which support Johns Hopkins mission.

JHHS Operations Integration staff bring expertise from various private and public sector industries to provide a fresh and innovative perspective on project management and leadership.  Staff members continue to train on the latest techniques and technologies such as, Lean Sigma and modeling and simulations software, which they then integrate with current process improvement programs to accelerate change and achieve success.

In looking towards the future of patient care, health care management, education, and research across the globe; innovation, creativity, and leadership remain as attributes that assure the quality that is intrinsic to the Johns Hopkins name.
