New Website and E-Newsletter for Physicians Across Johns Hopkins Medicine

“This website will allow more sharing of best practices about clinical efficiencies and effectiveness,” says John Flynn, vice president of the Office of Johns Hopkins Physicians and executive director of the Clinical Practice Association.

Date: 09/01/2015

The Office of Johns Hopkins Physicians (OJHP) has launched the BestPractice e-newsletter and created a new website to reach all the physician audiences the office serves: Johns Hopkins-employed physicians, including members of the Clinical Practice Association, Johns Hopkins Community Physicians and self-employed physicians who work in Johns Hopkins community hospitals.

Whatever their specialty, practice site or relationship with Johns Hopkins, these physicians are unified in their commitment to excellent patient care. Both BestPractice and the website will support that commitment with:

  • Feature articles highlighting physicians across Johns Hopkins Medicine
  • Assistance for making referrals
  • Messages about regulatory and policy matters
  • Epic updates
  • Resources, such as school of medicine policies and procedures

Replacing the old print newsletter, the BestPractice e-newsletter is published 10 times per year — double issues for January/February and July/August — and provides the site’s news content. Compared with the print edition, the e-newsletter will offer more content, a wider reach and a greater representation of physicians across the enterprise. Announcements and updates will be posted to the site between issues.

“This website will allow more sharing of best practices about clinical efficiencies and effectiveness, and it will facilitate better integration among all OJHP members,” says John Flynn, OJHP vice president and executive director of the Clinical Practice Association.
