High-Value Care Committee Seeks Ideas

Date: 09/01/2016

Many individuals and committees across the institution are improving the value of the health care we deliver by eliminating unnecessary or wasteful practices. To advance this work, Redonda Miller and Renee Demski have organized the Johns Hopkins Health System High-Value Care Committee. Composed of representatives from all six of the hospitals and Johns Hopkins Community Physicians, this committee is working to advance high-value initiatives across our health system and identify new areas for practice refinement.

Each individual in every entity of our health system is invited to contribute ideas and experiences related to cost-conscious care to this committee. We have created two submission forms to enable your participation:

  • If you recognize potentially unnecessary or wasteful practices, please submit an idea to improve this through the Bright Ideas campaign using the Bright Ideas submission form.
  • Additionally, the committee is seeking information about initiatives relating to reduced use of tests or the use of treatments or procedures that have been proven to safely improve value. These will be considered for potential expansion across the health system. Please submit any such experiences through the High-Value Project reporting form.
