Grand Rounds: The Future of Health Care Performance Measures

Christine Cassel, president and chief executive officer of the National Quality Forum.

Date: 11/02/2015

The national shift toward prioritizing value over volume has ignited interest in quality measurement. How can metrics help us better define value in health and health care? What measures does the nation need to evaluate the care we provide?

Attend or view a live stream of the Armstrong Institute for Patient Safety and Quality’s Grand Rounds, “The Future of Measurement: Value and Science-Driven Health Care” on Thursday, Nov. 12, at noon in the Chevy Chase Bank Auditorium on the East Baltimore campus.

Guest speaker Christine Cassel, president and CEO of the National Quality Forum, will address these issues in her presentation and propose a systems improvement approach to transform the health care delivery system through the growing field of measurement science.

She will also discuss how critically important it is for clinicians to be engaged in the process of vetting and reviewing performance measures.

This event will be live-streamed and recorded. Watch it online or visit the Armstrong Institute’s Grand Rounds website for more information.
