2014 School of Medicine Graduation

Dome of the Billings buldingThe class of 2014 is the 119th to graduate since the school of medicine opened in 1893.

On Thursday, May 22, 2014, a distinguished group of 279 graduates embarked on their future careers as physicians and scientists at the convocation ceremony of the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. A total of 127 M.D. degrees, 132 Ph.D. degrees and 20 master’s degrees were conferred.

Anthony Fauci, M.D., the director of the National Institutes of Health’s National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases and a renowned HIV/AIDS researcher was a guest speaker at the convocation.

The student speakers were Sharon Weeks, who received an M.D. and will be doing her general surgery residency at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, and Yiting Lim, who received a Ph.D.
