Scholarships–You Can Make a Difference!

Associate Dean of Student Affairs, Tom Koenig, seated at center, and recipients of the J.T. Tai & Co. Foundation Scholarship.

The original benefactor of and visionary behind this great institution, Mr. Johns Hopkins, understood the value of providing financial support to individual students. As a condition of his bequest that founded Johns Hopkins University, he specified that scholarships support students who are “most deserving of choice because of their character and promise.”

More than 125 years later, the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine community remains committed to scholarships. One of our most important philanthropic goals is to raise funds that will allow the school of medicine to offer more, and more generous, scholarships. Your philanthropic gift for scholarships can fuel the dreams of a deserving student. To learn more about the many giving options, please contact Chad Newill at 410-361-6537 or
