At a time when most Internet users search for health information online, hopkinsmedicine.org has become the fourth most visited of all hospital or academic medical center websites, with about 37 million views each year, according to Aaron Watkins, director of e-strategy and Web services for Johns Hopkins Medicine.

The JHM Health Library (www.hopkinsmedicine.org/healthlibrary) is responsible for nearly a third of that traffic. The site, continually updated with fresh content, includes an A-Z directory of health topics, including diseases, treatments, tests, and procedures and links to relevant research, nutritious recipes, and screening guidelines.
