EARTH DAY FESTIVITIES

The Johns Hopkins Hospital and Health System’s inaugural Earth Day Fair drew scores of employees and visitors to the Phipps Lobby on April 22. Members of the Johns Hopkins Green Team set up information tables to educate passers-by about ways to recycle and how the institution is working to protect the environment. At noon, Ronald R. Peterson, president of The Johns Hopkins Hospital and Health System and executive vice president of Johns Hopkins Medicine, along with more than 50 employees, signed the One Hopkins, One Earth pledge to promote sustainability at The Johns Hopkins Hospital. Johns Hopkins Children’s Center’s Child Life Director Patrice Brylske, left, sells off some green plants from the outpatient center to Sherri Foster, staff assistant in utilization management. Also pictured is Danita Abrams, utilization review management specialist (in red).
