The PPO plan provides Medicare Part C benefits to Medicare-eligible residents in 11 Maryland counties

Johns Hopkins HealthCare announces its entrance in the Medicare Advantage market for the 2016 benefit year. The Medicare Advantage product, Johns Hopkins Advantage MD PPO, is the only Maryland Medicare Advantage plan that offers the full complement of Johns Hopkins providers, plus thousands of other network providers across the state of Maryland.

Along with a comprehensive provider network and the backing of Johns Hopkins, Johns Hopkins Advantage MD plan members can expect $0 medical deductibles, no referral requirements, and doctor’s visits for as low as $10 each. Plus, the plan offers chiropractic care, acupuncture, routine dental, vision, and hearing care, as well as prescription drug coverage. Advantage MD Plus members also have access to a free fitness program, Silver&Fit.

Enrollment in Johns Hopkins Advantage MD begins October 15 and ends December 7, for coverage that starts on January 1, 2016. To enroll in Advantage MD, beneficiaries must have Medicare Part A and Part B and live in Baltimore City or one of these counties: Anne Arundel, Baltimore, Calvert, Carroll, Howard, Montgomery, Somerset, Washington, Wicomico or Worcester.

Johns Hopkins HealthCare also operates three other health plans: Priority Partners, a Maryland Medicaid managed care organization; Johns Hopkins US Family Health Plan, a Tricare PRIME product for military beneficiaries and retirees; and Johns Hopkins Employer Health Programs, an ERISA plan for large self-funded employers.
