Judith Rohde

Judith Rohde, Sc.D., R.N., has been named director of Pediatric Nursing at Johns Hopkins Children's Center. Director of Johns Hopkins Children's Center George Dover, M.D., and Chief Nursing Officer and Karen Haller, Ph.D., R.N., vice president of Nursing and Patient Care Services and Chief Nursing Officer at Johns Hopkins Hospital made the announcement in late October.

"Judy’s service as the interim director has been applauded by both the medical and nursing staff, and I am pleased that the Children’s Center will continue to benefit from her leadership," said Haller.

Former director of nursing for the Departments of Neurosciences and Psychiatry at Johns Hopkins Hospital, Rohde had served as interim director of pediatric nursing since August 2012.

Rohde is a graduate of Georgetown University School of Nursing and the University of Maryland Graduate School of Nursing. She holds a doctorate in Health, Policy and Management from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health.

At Johns Hopkins, her clinical practice interests have included nursing shared governance models, patient aggression screening in inpatient psychiatry, and safe patient lifting strategies to reduce employee injuries.
