Congratulations to neuroscientist Ted Dawson for receiving a 2020 Zenith Fellows Award from the Alzheimer’s Association. The award recognizes innovative science contributing to understanding of Alzheimer’s disease and dementia. Dawson received the award for his work examining whether a protein known to cause nerve cell death in people with Parkinson’s disease plays a similar role in Alzheimer’s disease. Read more.

Cell biologist Erika Matunis has been selected as a 2019 American Society for Cell Biology (ASCB) Fellow. The fellows are ASCB members elected by their peers for their contributions to the field of cell biology. They will be recognized at the ASCB and European Molecular Biology Organization meeting in December. Read more.
