2016 Radiothon

A dedicated team of deejays, volunteers, sponsors, employees and families sent the 27th Annual Mix 106.5 Radiothon to benefit the Johns Hopkins Children’s Center over the $1.1 million mark. Radiothon was broadcast live from the lobby of The Charlotte R. Bloomberg Children’s Center building, Feb. 17-18, with a phone bank of hundreds of volunteers - including many Johns Hopkins employees and patient families - who processed phoned-in donations. The Mix 106.5 Radiothon is the oldest Children's Miracle Network Hospitals (CMNH) radiothon in the nation. Johns Hopkins Children's Center is a member hospital.

Since its inception in 1989, the Mix 106.5 Radiothon has raised over $19 million for the hospital, funds that support research, educational programs, equipment, and other items insurance does not cover. In the annual marathon fundraising event, patients, families and Johns Hopkins pediatric faculty and staff share their stories, and describe promising research and new therapies, designed to cure or improve the treatment of childhood disease and injury.
