Neuro-Visual Disorders Treatment
Treating neuro-visual problems depends on the underlying cause. Your doctor may recommend:
- Corticosteroids given in pill or injection form, which may help prevent vision loss and ease the pain or visual discomfort of particular neuro-visual problems.
- Atherosclerosis and other vascular disease management through diet and medication
- Referral for surgical management of tumors if they are present and causing the neuro-visual problem
- Treatment of idiopathic intracranial hypertension (pseudotumor cerebri) if indicated
