4th Annual JHTMC Regional Transverse Myelitis Symposium

The Johns Hopkins Transverse Myelitis Center (JHTMC) is delighted to announce that we will be hosting our fourth annual Regional Transverse Myelitis Symposium for people touched by TM, including patients, family members and caregivers.

The day's program will empower participants with practical, clinically-oriented insights you can apply to your daily life. Faculty and staff from The Johns Hopkins Hospital and the Center for Spinal Cord Injury at the Kennedy Krieger Institute and the International Neuro-Rehabilitation Institute will discuss diagnosis and common issues patients with TM face including pain, rehabilitation needs, bowel and bladder problems, sleep and mental health. 

Topics will also cover everyday symptom management and the latest research trends, including the status of stem cell therapy. 

Date: Saturday, June 25, 2016
Location: The Johns Hopkins Hospital, 1800 East Orleans Street, Baltimore, MD 21287, in the Arcade Conference Room (Zayed 2117) on the Main Level of the Zayed Building
Parking: The Orleans Street garage is conveniently situated across the street from the hospital between Wolfe & Broadway, and the Zayed pedestrian bridge on the 4th floor of the garage links to the Main Level of the hospital for safe and easy access.
Registration: 9:00 a.m. 
Lunch is provided.

While the event is free to all, space is limited and fills up quickly. All prospective attendees must reserve their spots in advance. Please, no more than 2 guests per TM patient. We will confirm your reservation closer to the event, and ask that you let us know as soon as possible if you plan to cancel so that someone else may benefit from attending.
