A presenter at the 4th Annual JHTMC Symposium

The Johns Hopkins Transverse Myelitis Center hosted its 4th regional Transverse Myelitis Symposium on June 25th.

This event, sponsored by Project RESTORE, the Bart Mclean Neuroimmunology Research Fund and the Transverse Myelitis Association (TMA) included more than 75 guests from throughout the US and Canada.

Patients, families and their caregivers heard from a wide array of experts who provided updates in the latest research, diagnosis and management of Transverse Myelitis and had the opportunity to interact with others affected by the illness.

And, to benefit ongoing research, 50 attendees graciously donated their blood and clinical information to the biorepository.

Next year, the symposium will be held in conjunction with the TMA’s 2017 Rare Neuro-immune Disease Symposium.
