Purpose:
This study is being done to see if losing weight may help prevent breast cancer from coming back (recurring).
Eligibility:
Women with breast cancer who have a BMI of 27 kg/m2 or higher may be eligible to participate.
Treatment:
Eligible participants will be randomly assigned, like a flip of a coin, to either receive 2 years of a Health Education Program alone or with a Weight Loss Program. Participants will be asked to return to the clinic every 6 months and complete questionnaires online and in person. A member of the BWEL team will contact the participant at regular intervals based on the program(s) they are to receive. After completing their program, the participant will be followed by the site's research team for a total of 10 years.
