Camp Sunrise 2018 Gala
The Camp Sunrise Gala is the largest fundraiser for Johns Hopkins’ Camp Sunrise: A week-long, cost free summer camp created for children who have been treated for cancer. We were honored to have pediatric cancer survivors and their parents join us for the evening.
A great time was had by all! With a beautiful backdrop at the Edward St. John Student Center at McDonogh School, guests enjoyed a wonderful cocktail hour and an elaborate meal. Guests enjoyed a small performance from some of Camp Sunrise's campers, and then were ushered upstairs for dinner as it was time for the program to begin. The evening's presenters included Alex Johnston IV, Emily Yang, Jessica Sudo, Dr. Donald Small and Jenny Dong. Our energetic Emcee for the evening was Femi Ayanbadejo. A lively auction resulted in happy families who will be on their way to Captiva Island, Bald Head Island, Colorado, or Maui soon, among other items! The evening was topped off by a little dancing and some dessert before everyone headed home.
