Kids Can't Wait: 30 Day Miracle Movement
Even during times of uncertainty, one thing remains true: KIDS CAN’T WAIT. Children are our future and philanthropic support is more important than ever as we work to ensure families continue to receive the critical treatment they need, as well as vaccines and preventative care. We are thrilled to be holding our second annual KIDS CAN’T WAIT: 30 Day Miracle Movement for Johns Hopkins Children’s Center on Oct. 8 through Nov. 6, 2021.
What is KIDS CAN’T WAIT?
KIDS CAN’T WAIT: 30 Day Miracle Movement for Johns Hopkins Children's Center is a 30-day virtual challenge that will kick off the weekend of our fifth annual Team Hopkins Kids Race on Oct. 8 and conclude with our fifth annual Baltimore Boogie dance marathon on Nov. 6.
This year there are options for everyone! The KIDS CAN’T WAIT: 30 Day Miracle Movement is an opportunity to fundraise for 30 days in support of the Children’s Center. You can do that by registering to run in one of the six races at the Baltimore Running Festival on Oct. 9 or by running on your own and then continuing to raise funds throughout the next 30 days. You could also create a team and fundraise for Baltimore Boogie, or you could simply attend one of our other virtual or in-person events throughout the movement (like a beer tasting or fitness class!). A full schedule of activities will be available and updated regularly.
Whether you’ve previously danced the day away with us at Baltimore Boogie, laced up your running shoes for Team Hopkins Kids, volunteered at an event, made a donation or this is your first time getting involved, we’re sure there’s something you’ll love.
How can I get involved?
Register as a Miracle Mover
Want to commit to joining us on your own schedule? Look no further! Register as an independent Miracle Mover and get ready to move for the kids.
Create a Community or Company Team
Are you and your friends or coworkers passionate about giving back to the Children’s Center? Whether you create a team because your corporate mission and values align with ours, you are looking for a unique team-building activity, or you want to build relationships with members of your local community, you are supporting initiatives that will have a direct, positive impact on our patients and their families.
Make a Donation
Not able to commit to a 30-day challenge but want to support a Miracle Mover? You can still support KIDS CAN’T WAIT by making a donation.
Become a Corporate Sponsor
Want to become an official KIDS CAN’T WAIT: 30 Day Miracle Movement sponsor? View this year’s sponsorship opportunities or contact Cynthia Palacz, senior associate director of development, at firstname.lastname@example.org, with questions.
When you register as a Miracle Mover, you can choose to support any area of the Children’s Center. There is no registration fee, but there are fundraising minimums depending on which type of registration you choose We recommend setting a goal of $100 per Miracle Mover (you’ll receive a limited-edition T-shirt when you raise $100, with additional incentives the more you raise). You could also think of a number that is important to you or to your connection to the Children’s Center.
