HCL Healthcare

A HCL clinic

India
2012 - 2018

Overview

HCL Healthcare in India and Johns Hopkins Medicine International (JHMI) began an affiliation in February 2014 to help raise the standard of health care in India through knowledge exchange and consulting arrangements. India presents a great opportunity for JHMI to make a difference given the rising disease burden and the need to cost effectively transform health care delivery.

HCL Healthcare will provide a range of health care delivery offerings as India’s first nationwide networked multi-specialty clinics—adopting global best practices for medical quality and training, using evidence-based systems and integrating advanced technology. HCL Healthcare aims to provide the complete continuum of care for chronic and acute diseases.

About Our Agreement

  • JHMI established an affiliation with Bharat Family Clinic in September 2012. Bharat Family Clinic was acquired by HCL Group in April 2013, and JHMI’s affiliation with Bharat Family Clinic was transferred to HCL. The Bharat Family Clinic name changed to HCL Avitas. The name was later changed to HCL Healthcare. JHMI’s collaboration with HCL Healthcare is similar to what was in effect with Bharat Family Clinic.
  • JHMI and HCL Healthcare have signed a 10 year affiliation agreement to collaborate on outpatient family and specialty care knowledge transfer, training and education projects, and clinical services.
  • JHMI will advise HCL Healthcare on the development of clinical programs and assist in protocol development, medical affairs, quality improvement, risk management, patient safety, accreditations and clinical facility design.
