Director, Global Services

Patricia (Patti) Skillin serves as a director for the Americas Team in the Global Services division of Johns Hopkins Medicine International. She oversees the collaborations and affiliations in Brazil, Chile and Panama, and assists with business development throughout the region of the Americas.
Ms. Skillin brings more than 10 years of international health care and project management experience to the position, with a focus on health systems in the Latin American region. Prior to her time at Johns Hopkins Medicine International, she worked for several years in Washington, D.C., with the Pan American Health Organization in its Country Focus Support and External Resource Mobilization areas. In that role, Ms. Skillin facilitated alignment and knowledge transfer among 27 country offices. She also served as the country programs lead for Global Links, a Pittsburgh-based nongovernmental organization that delivered medical aid to resource-poor hospitals and health centers throughout Latin America and the Caribbean.
She has a master’s degree in international development from the University of Pittsburgh Graduate School of Public and International Affairs and a bachelor’s degree from Wesleyan University in Connecticut with a double major in sociology and Latin American studies. She speaks Spanish and Portuguese.
