Irma Purisch, M.B.A.
Managing Director, Global Services
Ms. Purisch has more than 20 years of experience in various roles in marketing, strategic planning, international contract negotiation, venture capital investment, financial analysis and human resources. In her current role, she develops proposals and manages education and consulting projects in hospitals outside of the United States.
Prior to joining Johns Hopkins, Ms. Purisch worked in the information technology sector, managing the small- and medium-business worldwide marketing planning and execution for Hewlett-Packard. Ms. Purisch has also helped open and develop new offices overseas for the United Parcel Service, a small information technology integrator company and the World Bank Group.
Ms. Purisch holds a master’s degree in business administration (international marketing) and a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the George Washington University. She has traveled to and conducted business in numerous countries in Latin America, Asia, Africa and Eastern/Western Europe. She speaks native Portuguese and English, fluent Spanish, and has some knowledge of French.
