April 2016

It is the policy of the Organization that post-doctoral fellows who participate in human subjects research must be trained in the data collection techniques and research procedures that they will perform as part of the research protocol.  The IRB is authorized to require such training and to issue guidance to faculty about this obligation.

Post-doctoral fellows may participate in human participants research only under the conditions outlined in the Guidance entitled “Participation of Post-Doctoral Fellows in Human Subjects Research”.

The Organization allows submission of requests for exceptions to this policy.  Exceptions may only be granted by the Associate Dean for Postdoctoral Affairs ([email protected]) and the Vice Dean for Clinical Investigation ([email protected]).
