Advanced Cancer Support Group: Second Monday of each month from 3-4:15pm. For any cancer survivor living with metastatic disease or advanced cancer. Come share information and discuss the unique challenges associated with metastatic disease or advanced cancer in collaboration with Maryland Oncology/Hematology. Facilitated by Amy Tissiere, MSW, LCSW-C, OSW-C and Laurie Thorner, MSW, LCSW-C, OSW-C.
Breast Cancer Support Group: Second Monday of each month from 6:30-7:45pm. Support group for patients and survivors. An opportunity to meet others on a similar journey. Registration required. Facilitated by Laurie Thorner, MSW, LCSW-C, OSW-C.

Cancer Survivor Café: Every Tuesday from 1-2:15pm. Open to any cancer survivor. Grab your favorite beverage and snack and join in the conversation. Facilitated by Laurie Thorner, LCSW-C, OSW-C.
GYN Cancer Support Group: Fourth Monday of each month from 1:30-2:45pm. Designed to meet the needs of patients diagnosed with any gynecological cancer. A safe, welcoming place providing encouragement, support and fellowship. Registration required. Facilitated by Laurie Thorner, MSW, LCSW-C, OSW-C.
Mindfulness Meditation and other practices: Meets weekly on Tuesdays from 10:30-11am. This group is open to novice and experienced. Understand the application of meditative breath work and yogic practices that can create a state of well-being. Cultivate a perspective toward greater compassion, non-striving, letting go, patience, and the ability to experience the present moment with greater objectivity. Facilitated by Laurie Thorner, MSW, LCSW-C, OSW-C. Registration is required.
Together We Thrive: Second Saturday of each month at 10am. Patient support for men and women diagnosed with cancer, where participants can share, explore and be encouraged in a safe environment. Caregivers are welcome to join. Registration required. Facilitated by Mary Dowling, MSW, LCSW-C.
Walking Group: Join Debbie Goldstein (retired physical therapist) for a walking group to promote an improved activity level and sense of well-being. Held weekly and led by a Howard County General Hospital volunteer, this walking group will take place in the community and is open to anyone experiencing a cancer diagnosis as well as their friends and/or caregivers. Walk at a comfortable pace. Wear comfortable clothing and walking shoes. Register >>
Young Adult Support Group: Third Monday of each month from 6:30-8:00pm. Generously funded by Ulman Foundation. For patients diagnosed with any type of cancer between the ages of 18-39. This is a safe, welcoming place providing encouragement, support and reducing isolation. Facilitated by Christina Miller, LCPC, OPN-CG.
