New Surgeon Joins HCGH, Expanding Minimally Invasive Surgery Options

Columbia, MD – Howard County General Hospital: A Member of Johns Hopkins Medicine (HCGH) welcomes Kevin Pei, M.D., as a new general surgeon.

Dr. Pei, a Johns Hopkins faculty member, specializes in the full range of abdominal surgeries to treat a variety of conditions, such as stomach cancer, hernias, gallbladder disease and diseases of the lower digestive tract. He will perform emergency surgery and elective procedures by appointment.

Most recently, Dr. Pei served as attending surgeon at Queen’s Medical Center in Honolulu. He also was assistant clinical professor of surgery at the University of Hawaii Department of Surgery. Dr. Pei earned his degree at Chicago Medical School. He completed his fellowship at the University of Hawaii Department of Surgery and residency at George Washington University Medical Center. He is board certified in general surgery and surgical critical care.
