While fellowship is a time of innovation, education and mentorship, it should also be a time for fellowship. We promote camaraderie among fellows and faculty with activities such as a welcoming orientation dinner, divisional monthly events such as happy hours, potlucks, soccer games, our annual holiday party, graduate reception, dinners at faculty homes, and other events. The Johns Hopkins Medical Auxiliary is an organization of spouses of fellows and house staff that sponsors social events and interest groups, and provides information on daycare, schools, babysitters, etc.
Low-cost health club membership is available for fellows and their families at facilities on the Johns Hopkins East Baltimore, Bayview, and undergraduate campuses. Recreational, cultural, entertainment, and dining opportunities abound in Baltimore and the Washington metropolitan areas. Information can be found by exploring some of the links below:

Our fellows like to work hard but they like to play hard too! We understand that burnout is real for our physicians and we commit to promoting a fellowship that prioritizes well-being. The friendship among our fellows and faculty reflect our mission to create a healthy environment where education and innovation can be fostered.
