We Excel The Johns Hopkins Hospital Professional Practice Model for Nursing
What does it mean to be a nurse at The Johns Hopkins Hospital? It means being driven to continue learning and growing throughout all stages of your career. For psychiatry nurse Rebecca Cramer, it meant going the extra mile to get her board certification as a psychiatric mental health nurse. But Cramer didn’t stop there. She worked with her nurse manager and other leaders to extend the opportunity to all nurses in the department and find solutions to overcome any barriers to certification that these nurses might have — including finding funding for test fees and developing test-taking workshops and study guides. In all, 44 nurses from the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences received their board certification through this initiative. This is just one way Johns Hopkins nurses demonstrate their drive to excel in their profession. Learn more at: http://www.hopkinsmedicine.org/nursing
