The Richard Starr Ross Research Building Dedication
Richard Starr Ross, dean of the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine from 1975 to 1990, launched a number of projects to modernize and improve the medical school, with the Richard Starr Ross Research Building being one of them. The goal of such projects was to "offer the best scientists research facilities which match them in terms of quality." The building was dedicated on June 7, 1991.
