Immunotherapy

Immunotherapy is an exciting, emerging field of cancer treatment that was innovated and largely developed at Johns Hopkins. It centers on priming a patient’s own immune system to recognize and attack cancer cells.

Groundbreaking research and clinical trials at our hospital have resulted in the development of several new immunotherapy drugs to treat gynecologic cancers. We currently have several immunotherapy trials open at Johns Hopkins for women with uterine, ovarian and cervical cancers.
