Meet Our Team

gyn/ob residents

Welcome to the Gynecology and Obstetrics Residency Program at The Johns Hopkins University. It is with great pleasure that we invite you to apply to our program. We are an accredited four-year postgraduate training program that accepts nine interns each year, for a total of 36 residents. The Department of Gynecology and Obstetrics at Johns Hopkins has a deeply rooted history in training exceptionally talented residents. We have a robust, comprehensive curriculum that not only prepares our residents to be knowledgeable, skillful and compassionate physicians, but also to be the future leaders in our field.

Through rotations at our three main hospitals (The Johns Hopkins Hospital, Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center and Greater Baltimore Medical Center), our program boasts a broad variety of clinical settings and patient populations. In addition to our extensive general obstetrics and gynecology experience, our residents also have significant exposure to our subspecialties, including:

We offer many opportunities for involvement and engagement in women’s global health and women’s health advocacy. Additionally, our residents develop and disseminate scholarship in clinical and scientific research, medical education and teaching, and quality improvement.

We are fortunate to have faculty members that are dedicated to teaching and mentoring our residents. You will find our program to be nurturing, supportive and exciting as we continually work together toward our common goals of developing well-trained residents and delivering outstanding clinical care to our patients.

Please feel free to contact us with any questions you have about our program.

Sincerely,

Betty Chou, M.D.
