Training Program

OPEN POSITION! Postdoctoral Research Fellow

Our Specific Aims for the AHA Obesity SFRN fellowship training are to:

1) Select well-qualified and diverse candidates who will become leaders in the field of obesity research. Fellows will be matched with experienced, interdisciplinary mentors and participate in a tailored educational, training, and career development program.

2) Provide training and career development opportunities for fellows who may start with varying needs for career development, but who require mastery of knowledge, skills, and attitudes appropriate and necessary to engage in high-quality investigation in the understanding, prevention, diagnosis and treatment of obesity.

3) Provide opportunities for SFRN fellows to participate in Translational Research Communities across Johns Hopkins and in cooperation with the other funded Obesity SFRNCenters in order to learn how to effectively work in and lead interdisciplinary research teams and prepare for a lifetime of work as a translational researcher focused on obesity.
