Dr. Daumit Awarded Best Published Research Paper

Dr. Gail Daumit's ACHIEVE Trial publication in NEJM wins Society of General Internal Medicine (SGIM)'s Best Published Research Paper of the Year Award for 2013 and the Society for Clinical Trials Trial of the Year Award for 2013.

The SGIM award, presented in San Diego April 26th at the 37th National meeting, honors publications that have made significant contributions to generalist research. The Society for Clinical Trials presents the award to the randomized clinical trial that best fulfills the following standards: improves the lot of humankind; provides the basis for a substantial, beneficial change in healthcare; reflects expertise in the subject matter, excellence in methodology and concern for study participants; overcomes obstacles in implementation; and the presentation of its design, execution and results is a model of clarity and intellectual soundness. The Society for Clinical Trials will present the award to the ACHIEVE Team in May at their national meeting.
