More about Baltimore

Camden Yards

The city of Baltimore contains many attractions. The Harborplace area is only about one mile from the Medical School Campus, and contains dozens of shops, the National Aquarium and Maryland Science Center, and adjacent to it, Camden Yards/Oriole Park, home to the Baltimore Orioles baseball team. The Fells Point area, less than a mile from the Medical School Campus, contains many buildings dating back to the early 1800's, antique shops, cafes and restaurants. The Homewood campus is located in Charles Village, a more residential area with a college neighborhood feel that also features restaurants as well as convenience stores, and the Baltimore Museum of Art. Many day trips from Baltimore are also possible, including Washington, DC (about an hour away), the ocean, mountains, and various parks.
