Teresa Brockie, PhD, RN, FAAN
Meet Teresa Brockie, a Research Associate at the Johns Hopkins School of Nursing. Dr. Brockie, a member of White Clay Nation (Aaniiihnin) of Fort Belknap, Montana, focuses on health equity through community-based prevention and intervention among vulnerable Native populations. Originally a graduate student in the School of Nursing in 2003, Dr. Brockie returned in 2017 to join the faculty.

Meet Victoria O’Keefe, an Assistant Professor at the Bloomberg School of Public Health. Dr. O’Keefe, a member of the Cherokee and Seminole Nations of Oklahoma, focuses on suicide intervention and prevention in Native communities. She is the first ever Native, tenure-track faculty member in the School of Public Health.

Meet Robert Higgins, the first African-American Surgeon-in-Chief in Johns Hopkins history. The William Stewart Halsted Professor and the Chair of the Department of Surgery, Dr. Higgins is in charge of the Surgery Functional Unit within all of the various Johns Hopkins hospitals.
