Howard County General Hospital Ends Crisis Standards of Care

Posted January 31, 2022

As of Monday, Jan. 31, Howard County General Hospital is ending Crisis Standards of Care. The hospital has seen a reduction of 26% of admitted COVID-19 patients in the past seven days.

On Tuesday, Jan. 4, we implemented Crisis Standards of Care (CSC) protocols at HCGH to allow us more flexibility to meet growing patient care needs during the omicron surge. Due to the improving situation, these protocols are no longer needed.

We thank our patients and community members for your cooperation and patience during the past few weeks. We continue to encourage everyone to wear a mask and get your COVID-19 vaccine or booster.
