Advice on Choosing a Practitioner

The National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine (NCCAM)
NCCAM, is part of the National Institutes of Health and maintains a free website that provides health information, research, clinical trials, training opportunities and information about complementary and alternative therapies. This link is to their page on  "How to Find a CAM Practitioner."  From this page, you will find further links to sections on selecting a CAM practitioner, the credentialing of CAM practitioners, and paying for CAM treatment.

Taking Charge of Your Health
This website is from the Center for Spirituality & Healing and the Life Science Foundation at the University of Minnesota. The Consortium of Academic Health Centers for Integrative Medicine (see our Useful Links page under Internet Resources) links to this very helpful page that discusses factors to consider in identifying a good CAM provider.
