A Woman's Journey - Greater Washington Area
During the years that have intervened since Johns Hopkins Medicine introduced A Woman’s Journey in Baltimore in 1995, our mission has remained unchanged: Educate ourselves about advances in medicine so we are empowered to make the most informed health care decisions for our families and ourselves.
We have witnessed vast medical advances since beginning A Woman’s Journey in the Greater Washington area. This year is no different. Join us on May 5 and listen to three extraordinary presentations by Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine faculty members. Learn about the startling rise of lung cancer among women who have never smoked (and the use of immunotherapy to treat this prevalent cancer), a promising new medication to treat depression, and the surprising connection between urinary tract infections and the likelihood of having a stroke.
We know you have many choices during our season, but this program is distinct. We urge you to come alone or with a friend or colleague. Devote this morning to yourself. You will find it exhilarating, stimulating, empowering and — for some — lifesaving.
Join us at our new location: the Bethesda North Marriott Hotel.
Yours in health,
