Tom Stewart has joined Suburban Hospital’s senior management team as Senior Director of Ambulatory Care/Physician Services. In this newly created role, Tom will be responsible for service-line planning and ambulatory strategy.

Tom provides a strong competency in physician practice management and ambulatory medicine. This is a skill set that has become extremely important in our changing world of health care where we are now focused on a broad continuum of patient-focused services including those beyond the walls of the hospital.

Tom brings 25 years of health care management experience in private practice and academic medicine. He has worked with Johns Hopkins Community Physicians for the past five years as their administrator for cardiology and surgery in the National Capital Region.

He holds a master’s degree in health care administration and a master’s degree in business administration, both from the University of Minnesota.
